    The 1648 is an automatic letter opener thatis ideal for large businesses and mailrooms. It automatically feeds and opens a stack of envelopes, up to 3” high and 1/4” thick, at high-speed. The machine operates at a speed of up to 12,000 envelopes per hour. Blades are fully enclosed to protect fi ngers. The scraps are ejected with the envelopes into the catch tray. When not in use, the catch tray can be stored on the back of the unit saving space. A power indicator light lets the operator know the machine in on.
