Introducing Filament Supplies for 3-D Printers

PVC Spiral Supply Introduces Printable Filament for 3D Printers
PVC Spiral Supply has announced it will enter the 3D printer supply market with a new printable plastic filament material. The Boise, Idaho-based manufacturer of plastic coil binding components will initially offer two lines of the filament: PLA and ABS plastic. While the company already has a strong market presence in the school marketplace, the Precision Filament products will be compatible with most mainstream, non-industrial 3D printers such as Makerbot and RepRap.

PLA Printable Bioplastic Filaments are a versatile solution for home, hobby and education markets due to their organic nature and ability to form sharp printed corners.

ABS Plastic Filament is widely used for engineering and industrial applications due to its strength, flexibility and machinability. It requires a printer with a heated print bed. The ABS product will be available through BindRite dealers after Jan 1, 2015.
